Merry Christmas

We have all heard the old saying: Jesus is the reason for the season! Yes he is! Without Christ, there could be no "Christ"mas. Christmas day serves as a reminder to all believers of the greatest gift mankind could have ever been given, a Savior. We needed someone who could possibly save us from ourselves. I am personally thankful that He (God) sent His son the Christ to save me from my self!

The Road to Wealth

I have good news and bad news. First the good news, if you make at least $25,000 a year in personal income, during your lifetime over $1,000.000 dollars will flow through your fingers. That’s a lot of money. You would essentially be a lifetime millionaire. Now the bad news, if you’re like most American’s, you will have spent it all by the end of your earning years. How is that possible? Frankly, we’re not taught about this necessary life skill. Most of what we know about money, we learned from the school of "hard knocks." Fear not, I have more good news! Building wealth is easier than you think! Christians naturally develop the two keys nececassy to build wealth: (1) discipline (2) Consistency. Being a good Christian requires discipline; being a sucessful Christian throughout your lifetime requires consistency. Likewise, developing a financial plan requires discipline; building wealth over time requires consistency. Ready to display money discipline, start right now developing a money plan, and consistently lay a side a little money each week as a seed. Let that seed grow into a mighty money tree, then you will have the financial strength to complete God's instruction for your life!

You were created for a purpose

God planned you;there is nobody else just like you. Nobody else can do what you do, the way you do it! You are absolutely perfect and genetically accurate for God's purpose in your life. You are unlike anyone else on earth-imagine that! God is a creator, not a duplicator. You were created for purpose, and your purpose is to solve a problem. Everything God created, solves a problem: Doctors solve medical problems, lawyers solve legal problems, mechanics solve car problems. You are somebodies solution. Someone needs what you have been given by God. That makes you a reward; you are not a reward for everyone, but you are a reward for those to whom you have been sent. Therefore, celebrate your worth! You are significant to the people in your sphere of influence. The next time you get all teary eyed over someone you have just helped, remember that you have just fulfilled a purpose.

In God we Trust

There is an inscription on the money we use that reads, "In God We Trust." We sometimes put our trust in God, but more often, we place our trust in our own ability, creativity, strength, will power, and financial prowless. But there is a lesson to be learned from that old faithful inscription on the money we use. We should spend it, save it, give it, but don't place your trust in it! Only when you put your trust in it do you realize that it is uncertain, unpredictable, unreliable, and fleeting. It has more tricks that the Great Houdini. Looking for a place to put your trust, God is the answer. He doesn't play tricks, very predictable, and always certain in your time of need.

Getting What You Really Want

Getting what you really want isn't as hard as you might think. It suggest that you already know what you really want; do you know what makes you happy, bring you joy, satisfy the soul? It's not the things that we crave, or lust after. What we really want is far different than what advertisers tell us we want. What we really want is found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You see, what we really want is spiritual, not material. We need material things for sure, but the emptiness and longing we have that can't be satisfied with money, sex, or adventure, is spiritual. Try building your daily agenda around a brief period of prayer and meditation, You will be amazed that you really don't want as much as you thought.

Summer Slam!

Georgia Summers are hot and humid, and when you add the difficulty of a shortage of money-kids out of school for the summer and bored around the house, you have been slam! But don't get stressed; accent the positives. There are a lot of inexpensive trips you can take within 100 hundred miles of your home, and great attractions right here in our city. The amazing thing I've learned recently, spending quality time with the kids is the most inexpensive part of your monthly budget. It's the quantity time that's the real pocket book killer! So the next time you get the summer slam, ask God for divine peace and Wisdom. "Call on him and he will show you great things that you haven't though about." Jeremiah 33:3
